VideoUpLink provides a drag and drop interface for uploading one or more videos to a Facebook page. Video files can be dragged from an iPhoto library, the Media Browser, or from the Finder anywhere on your drive. A title and description for each video can be added using the new table view. Login to Facebook with the Login button, and then click Upload. An accurate progress bar will appear for each video as it is processed.

Scrambler lets you encrypt your files to keep them safe from prying eyes. This is especially important when sending files over untrusted internet services such as email attachments, or storing them on untrusted locations like USB memory sticks or portable external drives.

Scrambler is the simplest encryption app for the Mac. To encrypt a file, simply:

  1. Drag a file on Scrambler's icon in the menu bar
  2. Type a password
  3. Encrypt
To decrypt an encrypted file, just drag it back on Scrambler and type in the same password.

Notes:

Sensors, Vol. 11, Pages 8685-8710: Long-Term Monitoring of Fresco Paintings in the Cathedral of Valencia (Spain) Through Humidity and Temperature Sensors in Various Locations for Preventive Conservation

We describe the performance of a microclimate monitoring system that was implemented for the preventive conservation of the Renaissance frescoes in the apse vault of the Cathedral of Valencia, that were restored in 2006. This system comprises 29 relative humidity (RH) and temperature sensors: 10 of them inserted into the plaster layer supporting the fresco paintings, 10 sensors in the walls close to the frescoes and nine sensors measuring the indoor microclimate at different points of the vault. Principal component analysis was applied to RH data recorded in 2007. The analysis was repeated with data collected in 2008 and 2010. The resulting loading plots revealed that the similarities and dissimilarities among sensors were approximately maintained along the three years. A physical interpretation was provided for the first and second principal components. Interestingly, sensors recording the highest RH values correspond to zones where humidity problems are causing formation of efflorescence. Recorded data of RH and temperature are discussed according to Italian Standard UNI 10829 (1999).

This study developed portable, non-invasive flexible humidity and temperature microsensors and an in situ wireless sensing system for a proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC). The system integrated three parts: a flexible capacitive humidity microsensor, a flexible resistive temperature microsensor, and a radio frequency (RF) module for signal transmission. The results show that the capacitive humidity microsensor has a high sensitivity of 0.83 pF%RH−1 and the resistive temperature microsensor also exhibits a high sensitivity of 2.94 × 10−3 °C−1. The established RF module transmits the signals from the two microsensors. The transmission distance can reach 4 m and the response time is less than 0.25 s. The performance measurements demonstrate that the maximum power density of the fuel cell with and without these microsensors are 14.76 mW·cm−2 and 15.90 mW·cm−2, with only 7.17% power loss.

The chemical composition of the essential oil of Helichrysum italicum (Roth) Don ssp. italicum, collected in the National Park of Cilento and Diano Valley, Southern Italy, was studied by means of GC and GC/MS. Forty four compounds of 45 constituents were identified in the oil, mainly oxygenated sesquiterpenes. The essential oil was evaluated for its potential in vitro phytotoxic activity against germination and early radicle elongation of radish and garden cress. The radicle elongation of radish was significantly inhibited at the highest doses tested, while germination of both seeds was not affected.

An X-ray and a theoretical study of the structure of the isoniazid derivative N'-(4-dimethylaminobenzylidene)-isonicotinohydrazide monohydrate (1) are reported. In this work, we will report a combined experimental and theoretical study on the molecular structure, vibrational spectra and energies of N'-(4-dimethylaminobenzylidene)-isonicotinohydrazide monohydrate. The calculated parameters are in good agreement with the corresponding X-ray diffraction values. The FTIR spectrum in the range of 400–4000 cm−1 of N'-(4-dimethylaminobenzylidene)-isonicotinohydrazide monohydrate has been recorded. The molecular geometry and vibrational frequencies and energies in the ground state are calculated by using the DFT (B3LYP, PBE1PBE) methods with 6-311G** basis sets. The calculated HOMO and LUMO energies also confirm that charge transfer occurs within the molecule. The geometries and normal modes of vibrations obtained from B3LYP/PBE1PBE/6-311G** calculations are in good agreement with the experimentally observed data.
